POGP 25th Anniversary Gala

The celebration was inaugurated by Chairman of the Organization Sylwester Smigiel, who opened the official part of the event and summarized a quarter century of work for the development of the liquefied petroleum gas market. On behalf of the President of the Republic of Poland, the attendees were greeted by MP Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, Chairman of the Council for Agriculture and Rural Areas to the President of the Republic of Poland, who presented Sylwester Smigiel with a flag with a dedication from Andrzej Duda.

President James Rockall spoke on behalf of the World LPG Organization (WLPGA), and LGE Director General Ewa Abramiuk-Lété spoke on behalf of the European association Liquid Gas Europe. Representatives of sister organizations also conveyed their good wishes: Leszek Wiwała, president and CEO of the Polish Organization of Oil Industry and Trade, and Halina Pupacz, president of the Polish Chamber of Liquid Fuels. The POGP anniversary gala was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Transport Technical Supervision.

On the occasion of the anniversary celebration, decorations were received by deserving employees of member companies of the Polish LPG Organization. On behalf of the Minister of Technology and Development badges For services to the development of the economy of the Republic of Poland Poland were presented by Secretary of State at the Ministry of Technology and Development, Minister Piotr Uściński.

Badge of honor For services to the development of the economy of the Republic of Poland Poland was awarded to the chairman of the Polish LPG Organization from 1996 to 2021:

• Roman Slagowski
• Sylvester Smigiel.

Established by a Decree of the Council of Ministers on November 12, 2014. The badge is an honorary award granted by the minister responsible for economic affairs to natural and legal persons in recognition of the merits incurred for the development of the economy of the Republic of Poland, including the achievement of favorable economic effects that determine economic growth.

Afterwards, 13 people who have made special contributions to the LPG industry in past years received honorary badges Meritorious for the oil and gas industry.

Established by Decree of the Council of Ministers on November 17, 2011. The badge is an honorary distinction awarded by the minister responsible for energy to employees of the oil and gas industry, members of professional and social organizations and other natural and legal persons in recognition of their contributions to the development of the oil and gas industry.

At the end, Chairman Sylwester Smigiel presented commemorative statues of 25 years of POGP to people who have made outstanding contributions to the Organization's statutory activities. They were awarded to:

• Robert Urbanski.

After the official part, a gala dinner began the entertainment part of the evening. Guests were treated to a performance by the Sabat Theater entitled Film Revue and an anniversary cake.
